The web site belongs to School of English, Media Studies and Art History, University of Queensland, Australia. This web site is to guide readers to use the language material for studying Australian Aboriginal Language. There are two aboriginal languages on this web site: yanyula and Garrwa. For each language, readers can access background information about the language and its speakers, and a bibliography of other sources. For some languages there are photographs of people and places associated with the language. A table of sounds and orthographic symbols, and a brief grammatical sketch are, where possible, also given. We have also included information about the people who provided the language material, and about the circumstances in which the data was collected.
