本研究旨在探討原住民部落居民之社區意識與地方依戀間之關係,並以位處
於偏遠山區之高雄縣桃源鄉拉芙蘭部落為實證研究區域,針對其所含括的梅蘭、
梅山等原住民社區進行調查,並應用統計分析與計量方法深入分析與實證:(1)居
民之社區意識、(2)居民對地方依戀之認知、(3)居民對地區發展計畫之參與、(4)居
民對地區環境品質與實質環境改善之期望。
透過對拉芙蘭部落居民之普查,取得有效樣本534份,調查內容除受訪者基本
資料外,亦包括居民對社區意識、地方依戀之態度;研究中發現影響社區意識的
背景因素,包含居民之年齡、職業、教育程度、婚姻狀況、居住社區時間、居住
住宅權屬、有無擔任過社區職務或志工及居住社區之區位等。透過本研究清楚瞭
解拉芙蘭部落之居民參與社區活動的現況、原因及與社區意識之關係,並發現社
區意識與地方依戀之間呈現顯著的正相關。因此,社區意識不僅在心理層面影響
居民對於地方的價值觀念,在功能性和活動型態上也成為一種需求。

A study of the Relationship between Sense of Community
and Place Attachment in Lavulang Tribal Community

Abstract
The study aims at investigating the relationship between the sense of community of
indigenous tribes and their place attachment. The study takes Lavulang Tribal
Community settled down in the remote mountain area of Taoyuan Township,
Kaohsiung Country, as the research area with proofs. Focusing on the indigenous
communities of the Tribe, including Meilan, Meishan, and so on, the study conducts a
detailed investigation. By using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and measuring
methods, the study goes deep into the analysis and proofs: (1) The sense of community
of local indigenous people; (2) The indigenous people’s awareness of their place
attachment; (3) The indigenous people’s involvement in the development plans of the
communities; and (4) The indigenous people’s expectation for a better environmental
quality of the district and substantial environmental improvement.
Through the extensive survey made to the indigenous people of Lavulang Tribe,
the study acquired 534 effective samples. The contents of investigation not only
covered the basic information of the interviewees, but also included the indigenous
people’s attitudes toward their sense of community and place attachment. The
research results show that the background factors affecting their sense of community
include the indigenous people’s age, occupation, education standard, marital status,
period of residence in the communities, ownership right of residential place, whether
they have taken any post or duty, or acted as volunteers in the communities, and the
location of the community they are living in. Through this study, we are able to have a
clear understanding of the current involvement of Lavulang tribesmen in the activities
of the communities, the reasons for their involvement, and the relationship with sense of

community. The study finds that a positive interaction significantly appears between
the indigenous people’s sense of community and their place attachment. Therefore,
sense of community not only psychologically affects the residents’ judgment towards
the value of the place, but also becomes some sort of need in terms of functions and the
forms of activities.
