排灣族兒童教養之研究-以台東金峰鄉賓茂地區為例

[ 摘要 ]

本質性研究乃依據生態理論之架構,來探討在賓茂地區四位排灣族家庭中家長的教養觀點。研究結果並與四十年前之研究相比較,以了解其間之差異。研究方法包括訪談、觀察和研究省思。

本研究之研究結論如下:

一、賓茂地區家長之兒童教養觀受時間影響不大。賓茂地區的家長雖然都有一定程度的漢化,但研究結果發現,排灣族的家庭在兒童教養方面,仍保有某種程度的傳統觀念。

二、傳統文化對嬰幼兒時期的養育影響最顯著,尤其是在:(1)有侵略行為的控制。(2)各種約束禁制以及服從訓練。(3)依賴行為與自主訓練。(4)性與氣質訓練這四方面,依舊是循著傳統的觀念在教養自己的下一代。

三、家庭經濟能力影響賓茂地區家長的教育期望。當家長有一定經濟能力時,都期望自己的小孩能接受更好的教育。

四、部份排灣族家長會把宗教教義作為教養原則並依賴教會的教育課程以彌補自己教養上的不足。

The purpose of this qualitative research was to explore the parenting opinion of parents from four Paiwan families in Bingmao area by the framework of Ecological System Theory. Furthermore, the results of the study would compare with the previously study which accomplished in forty years ago to understand the differential. The research method included interview, observation and reflection of researcher. The results of this study were as follows:

1. There were not lots of influence by the time to the parents’ opinion of children’s parenting in Bingmao area. Although the parents had a certain degree of assimilation by the mainstream culture in Bingmao area, the findings of the research showed there were keeping some kind of traditional values in children’s parenting of the Paiwan families.

2. The traditional culture had obviously influenced to the rearing of infant and toddler, especially in: (1) Aggression control. (2)Restrictions and obedience. (3)Dependency and independent training. (4)Sex and temperament.

3. The economic ability influenced the educational expectation of parents in Bingmao area. When parents had a certain financial capability, they would like their children could possess better education.

4. In Bingmao area, part of parents would take religious principles to be the parenting principles and relied on the educational course which provided by church to make up for their insufficient of parenting.
