國民小學社會學習領域教科書節慶活動教材之內容分析研究 A content analysis of the holiday celebration activity teaching materials presented in social study textbooks employed in elementary schools

本研究旨在探討國小社會學習領域教科書中所呈現的「節慶活動」教材,以

九十六學年度通過教育部審定,出版冊別完整之康軒、南一、翰林及仁林四個版本社會學習領域一至八冊的教科書為研究對象。採取內容分析法,並以研究者參酌國內外文獻後所建立的「節慶活動主題類目分析表」為研究工具,兼從圖片與文字兩方面來分析不同版本教科書的節慶教材內容。

本研究的資料分析分為三部分,一為主題類目概況分析,分別從整體、版本及冊別三方面進行次數統計、百分比與卡方差異性考驗;二為節慶活動教材的選擇分析;第三部分為透過對教科書文字與圖片內容的質性分析,探究並歸納節慶

教材的呈現情形。

本研究主要發現如下:

一、在節慶類目的概況分析中,國小中高年級教科書以「漢人歲時節慶」與「原住民祭典」最常出現,較少出現的節慶活動為「國曆紀念日」及「外來節日」。

而在差異性考驗上,發現各類目在不同版本及冊別的分佈大多有差異存在。

二、社會學習領域中節慶活動教材內容的選擇,以康軒版最多,南一版最少。

三、各版本在節慶活動教材六大主題類目實質課文內容的呈現上有其特點,亦有

所不足之處。

根據研究所得的結果,提出若干具體建議,以作為教材編輯者、學校教師及後續研究者之參考。

The paper delves into the “holiday celebration activities” teaching materials presented in the social study textbooks employed in elementary schools. The paper studied the social studies textbooks volumes 1 to 8 for school-year 2007 published by four publishing houses (Kang Hsuan Educational Publishing Group, Nanyi Co., Ltd., Han Lin Publishing Company, and Jenlin Co., Ltd.) that had passed the Ministry of Education evaluation and accreditation. The study employed the content analysis method. The “holiday celebration theme material analysis chart” compiled and established based on domestic and foreign study data served as the research tool. The study analyzed the holiday celebration teaching material contents of the different textbook versions through the illustration and texts of their respective contents.



Data analysis procedure of the study was conducted in three stages. First, an overall analysis was conducted on the theme types. Frequency statistics, percentages, and Chi square test for difference were conducted on the overall text, edition, and volume of the textbooks. Second, an analysis on the choice of holiday celebration teaching materials was conducted. Third, a qualitative analysis was conducted on the text and illustrations contained in the textbooks to study and induce the circumstances manifested by the different holiday celebration teaching materials.



Significant discoveries of this study are as follow:

1. The overall analysis of the holiday celebration items showed that the most common holidays featured in the textbooks of elementary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools are the “traditional holidays of the Han people” and the “rituals and ceremonies of indigenous people”. The textbooks fleetingly or seldom introduce the “national and legal holidays” and “absorbed foreign holidays”.

As for the difference test, differences were noted in the types and distribution of holidays in the different book versions and volumes.

2. As for the content choices of four different types of holiday celebration teaching materials presented in the social study textbooks, it was found that the KHE edition had the most choices, whereas Nanyi had the least.

3. The contents of each respective edition contained some unique features of the six major types of holiday celebration teaching materials; however, each had its own set of inadequacies.



Several recommendations were made pursuant to the findings obtained in this study for the future reference of textbook editors, schoolteachers, and subsequent researchers.
