「交織」是一種生活方式的交錯重疊和融合，桃園縣復興鄉的華陵村與三光村是在北橫最偏遠的泰雅族群部落，我在這個種族、文化、自然環境完全陌生的地方工作三年，不僅體驗原住民部落生活的各種樣貌，更發掘原住民的生活文化與後現代社會之間的關係與交流，觀察其間所產生的衝突、協調，融合與獨特性，再運用複合媒材的創作方式，即應用泰雅族最擅長的編織藝術以及其他民族的編織藝術，來表現泰雅族生活文化與後現代生活文化，互相激盪所生成「互燦」的光芒，並且紀錄後現代社會中泰雅原民的生存結構與生活。
在後現代多元藝術創作表現的今日，我想用不同的方式來表達：泰雅族群與其他民族共生共榮中所產生的各種寫實現象，以及所賦予我的一種豐沛的生命力，和源源不絕的創作泉源。生活即藝術、藝術詮釋生活。在目前創作的階段當中，我正在探索追求更豐富多元、更自由的藝術創作歷程，深入探究藝術於人生中之價值性與獨創性、從事藝術創作以追求最大自由，實現真正的自我。
本研究探究後現代幾位藝術家的理論與創作，即如：尚・杜布菲（Dubuffet）、眼鏡蛇藝術群：（COBRA）、及帕洛克、德庫寧等抽象表現主義畫家、西班牙的Antoni Tapies 等人，所帶給研究者的啟發與學習。
本研究進行對泰雅族傳統文化的探究，比照現今仍在後山生存之泰雅族的生活實況查訪實錄。
本研究是以「編織」的多媒材創作方式，來表現泰雅族群文化與後現代文化「交織，互燦」的一段創作歷程。創作是人類表達自我、反應社會的一個方式，研究者希望藉著創作能豐富我們的人生內涵，使我們在人生的每一階段，都充滿瑰麗的色彩以及豐富的表現。

Abstract
Interweaving is like a melting pot, melting different ways of living. Hualing and Sanguang, located in Fusing Town, Taoyuan County, are two remotest villages of Tayal tribe in northern Taiwan. For three years, I worked there, once a totally strange place to me, racially, culturally and territorially strange. I experienced sides of life of this aboriginal tribe. I sensed and studied the way a traditional tribe responds when they confront the postmodern society. I made observations seeing through the course how they went on from when conflicts rose, compromises were made and embrace a unique absorption. In the way of interweaving multiple matters for which Tayal tribe is famous, they can create mutual reflections of cultures of both Tayal tribe and of the postmodern society. I also made record of the structure of Tayal tribe and how they make a living in a postmodern society.
Different form the contemporary postmodern ways, I would like to express in my own way, how Tayal tribe live on and how they manage to live with other peoples in peace, and from which I feel the strength of life and I get never-ending resources of my work. Living is an art and art is for living. I dedicate myself to study of art, and for now, I am searching for diverse broad paths. I want to go further to find the value of art, which is indispensable to human life. I want to enjoy my freedom to the most to work on art so that I can embrace myself, the real one within me.
My study is on theories and works of postmodern abstract expressionists such as Dubuffet, COBRA,Jackson Pollock,willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Antoni Tapies of Spain, and I state the inspiration I get from them and the new ideas I have in this thesis.
My research is worked upon the study of Tayal’s traditional culture and the presence of the everyday living of Tayal people who still abide on the mountainside.
My thesis is to state the course how the interweaving is born and how it creates mutual reflections of cultures of both ancient Tayal tribe and of a postmodern society. Work of art is a way of expressing oneself and it is also a reflection of a society. I hope people can work on art to enrich our life and it can bring light and colors to all the stages of life as to make its perfect performance.
