原住民國中生自尊、健康促進生活型態與危害健康行為之研究--以北台灣山地鄉為例

研究內容 [ 摘要 ]

本研究旨在:一、瞭解北台灣山地原住民鄉原住民國中生自尊、健康促進生活型態與危害健康行為之現況,二、探討北台灣山地原住民鄉原住民國中生個人背景變項與自尊、健康促進生活型態、危害健康行為之差異,三、探討北台灣山地原住民鄉原住民國中生自尊、健康促進生活型態與危害健康行為三者間之關係,四、探討影響健康促進生活型態之重要預測變項,五、探討影響危害健康行為之重要預測變項。

本研究以北台灣山地原住民鄉原住民國中生共580人為母群體,採普查之方式進行橫斷式問卷調查,回收有效問卷共478份。研究結果主要發現如下:

一、 研究對象之自尊呈現中間偏正向之程度

二、 研究對象之健康促進生活型態中得分最高為「生命欣賞」,其次依序為「人際間支持」、「壓力處置」、「營養」、「健康責任」,得分最低為「運動」

三、 研究對象危害健康行為比率由高至低依序為:飲酒行為、吸菸行為、嚼檳榔行為、過早的性行為、藥物濫用行為。

四、 第一次吸菸、嚼檳榔、飲酒年齡以12~13歲居多。第一次使用非法藥物以14~15歲居多。第一次發生性行為的年齡以14歲為最多。

五、 研究對象之自尊與健康促進生活型態及其各量表呈正相關;自尊與吸菸、飲酒行為呈負相關;健康促進生活型態與吸菸、嚼檳榔、飲酒行為呈負相關。

六、 研究對象健康促進生活型態之重要預測變項為自尊、學業表現與自覺健康狀況

七、 研究對象吸菸行為之預測變項為年級、學業表現、中間子女、自覺健康狀況、性別、營

養行為

八、 研究對象嚼檳榔行為之預測變項為學業表現、性別、中間子女

九、 飲酒行為之預測變項為中間子女、核心家庭、營養行為、性別

十、 過早的性行為之預測變項為自覺健康狀況、學業表現

最後,根據研究結果提出建議。



[ 英文摘要 ]

The purpose of this research, with the focus on the upland aboriginal students, are to 1. Interpret the current situation of the self-esteem, health promoting lifestyle, and Health-threatening Behaviors 2. Analyze how the personal background affects the self-esteem, health promoting lifestyle, and Health-threatening Behaviors 3. Analyze the relationship between the self-esteem, health promoting lifestyle, and Health-threatening Behaviors 4.Expolre the significant predicting variables that would affect the health promoting lifestyle; and 5. Explore the significant predicting variables of the Health-threatening Behaviors.

The matrix of this research is based on the 580 upland aboriginal junior high school students of aborigine county in Northern Taiwan. The census method with the transactional questionnaire was introduced, and 478 valid questionnaires were collected. The result has showed that:

1. The self-esteem of the research students is medium with positive deviation.

2. “Self-actualization” ranks the highest among the research results of the health promoting lifestyle. The following are “Interpersonal support”, “Stress management”, “Nutrition”, and “Health responsibility”. “Exercise” has the lowest rank.

3. The high-to-low rate of the Health-threatening Behaviors of the research objects is: Drinking behavior, Smoking behavior, Chewing betel nuts behavior and Early sexual behavior.

4. Most research students stated having their first cigarette, betel nuts and alcoholic drink around age of 12 to 13. Besides, having drug firstly age of around 14 to 15, and had first sex at age 14.

5. The self-esteem and health promoting lifestyle of the research students have showed a directly proportional effect on each quantitative scale. Smoking and drinking behavior have showed an inverse proportional effect on self-esteem. Smoking, Chewing betel nuts and drinking behavior have showed an inverse proportional effect on health promoting lifestyle.

6. The significant predicted variables of the health promoting lifestyle are Self-esteem, Academic performance and Health status consciousness.

7. The significant predicted variables of the smoking behavior are Grade, Academic performance, Similar-age siblings, Health status consciousness, Gender and Nutrition behavior.

8. The significant predicted variables of the betel nuts chewing behavior are Academic performance, Gender and Similar-age siblings.

9. The significant predicted variables of the drinking behavior are Similar-age siblings, Core family, Nutrition behavior and Gender.

10. The significant predicted variables of early sexual active behavior are Health status consciousness and Academic performance.
