花蓮縣國小家長選校行為之研究-全人教育與適性教育觀點

研究內容 [ 摘要 ]

本研究以深度訪談的研究方法,收集九十三到九十五學年度花蓮縣人口精華區的國小家長,在教養方式與為子女選擇國中小時的考量因素等資料。以全人教育理念與適性教育觀點做為分析架構,探討家長選校的內涵。以理解家長是否採取適性教育的觀點選擇學校為目的。希望,保障兒童最佳利益的選校目標,能夠受到重視。研究結果發現,家長選校的內涵是複雜、變動的。針對明星學校、私立學校以及未選校的家長,在教養與選校考量上,均有適性與非適性之分。同一家長,對不同孩子的選校考量及理念,受經驗影響逐漸調整,較少透過正式管道獲得正確理念而修正;本研究中受訪的原住民家長,對學校推動本族文化特色,並未表現族群文化方面的適性偏好。



本研究中教養與選校均能考慮適性教育理念的家長,選擇明星學校或私立學校,通常是因為子女的個性,較適合重視升學的教育環境;選擇鄉下或者具有辦學特色學校的家長,較多是因為子女個性活潑、有主見;選擇離家近的學校,主要重視家庭的關照功能、以及為了培養子女獨立的性格。教養與選校考量均較少考慮適性理念的家長,多半因為:相信名師出高徒、學校聲望佳、同儕水準較高有助於孩子的學習模仿以及希望為孩子設定人生方向等因素選校。選擇鄉下或者距離近的學校,主要是因為生活條件較差而忽略孩子的教育。有些家長在教養上,具適性教育的理念,但選校時卻未適性選校。這類家長,在選校結果不如預期之後,有可能轉而認同適性教育。



研究建議:應由多重管道,設法協助家長轉變觀念,學校運作與升學機制,亦應積極朝向適性教育的目標邁進。唯有落實適性教育的教育選擇權,才能達成現代教育的目標、促進學校積極正向的競爭與特色經營,進而培養多元、優秀的人才。

This research through depth interview''s research technique, collects elementary school guardian’s thought in their breeding way and the thought of school choose, during 93 to 95 school year in Hualian County’s high density population area. Trying to know if parents has adopted the idea of holistic education and adaptive education. In hope that children’s best welfare of education may be treated seriously. Finding the reason of parent’s school choose is complex and changes as necessary. Parents who choose the outstanding school, the Private school as well as those did not chosen school, still has the difference between adaptive and non-adaptive option; Parent’s thought of school choose, mostly affected by the different choosing experience with ther different children. Fewer by taking official advice. This research also interviewed some indigenous people guardian, they has not displayed the tribal culture adaptive option to thoes schools who improve indigenous culture characteristics.



Parents who adaptive educated their children, choose the outstanding school or private school, mostly because ther children''s character is more suitable to enroll an academic school; Parents who Choose countryside school or thoes school with especial characteristics, mainly because ther children are individuality; Those choose school near home are respect family values in general, so they can raise ther children gain the independent character. Parents who did not adaptive educated their children, choose the outstanding school or private school, are believed that the famous teacher has the outstanding disciple, or to take the school’s prestige and believed the higher associal standard the better the children learn; Who choose the countryside school or the school near home, is mainly too poor to mind ther children''s education. If parents are breeding by adaptive education, but school choose not. they might transfer to the adaptive education, after they feel they are fail in school choose.



The research suggested: Government should try to assist the parents to transform ther thought with multichannels. The school administration and matriculation system should also base on adaptive education. Only once accomplishment the adaptive education, the holistic education goal can be achieve, and improve school to forward positive competition and the characteristic management, then raise multi-dimensional, outstanding children.
