本研究旨在探討排灣族作家作品中的族群意識、書寫策略與特色，研究對象以八０年代之後出版作品的排灣族作家：莫那能、阿 、撒可努為主。藉由對三人文本的分析，探討排灣族作家如何運用書寫來喚醒、重建族人的族群意識；同時，為有別於漢族作家的創作，排灣族作家在書寫策略上也採取了具有族群特色的表達方式，不但使族人讀來心有戚戚，更能使其他族群的讀者感受到排灣族文化上的特色。除就作家的文本分析外，研究者另分別對三位作家進行訪談，期能配合文本做更進一步的分析。本論文計分六章，各章內容大要如下：

第一章「緒論」：揭櫫研究動機、目的、範圍以及研究的方法與步驟。

第二章「文獻探討」：就原住民文學的相關研究進行文獻回顧，藉以瞭解前人的研究結果，確立本研究的方向。最後就族群意識以及原住民作家的書寫策略加以探討，此二者為本論文分析文本時的理論基礎及所採用的分析方式。

第三章「排灣族作家生平及作品簡介」：首先探討排灣族的分布情況以及社會文化。接著，對三位排灣族作家的生平及創作歷程做一詳細的探討。

第四章「排灣族作家作品中的族群意識」：針對排灣族作家創作的文本加以分析，藉由題材的選取可看出作家如何透過創作來喚起排灣族族人對族群的認同，進一步建構具有高度凝聚力的族群意識。在小結中就三位作家於主題類型選取上的異同處進行比較，由三位作家在創作主題上的轉變印證原住民文學的發展歷程。

第五章「排灣族作家的書寫策略與特色」：分別從「語言表達方式」、「寫作位置及創作主題」與「寫作特色」等三方面探討排灣族作家所採取的書寫策略。

第六章「結論」：綜論本研究之結果，反省本研究的不足與限制，提出對未來進一步相關研究的建議。

The research objective is to discuss the ethnic consciousness, writing strategy and features in Paiwan authors’ articles. The research subjects are Paiwan authors who published their works after 80’s: represented by Monaneng2, A Wu, and Sakinu. By analyzing their compositions, this study reviews how Paiwan writers arouse and remold their ethnic consciousness by writing. Meanwhile, unlike Han nationality, Paiwan authors write in their ethnic manner, making their tribe readers feel the same and other tribes learn their cultural features. In addition to the analysis of articles, this study interviews the three Paiwan writers and hopes to push the analysis one step further. This research has 6 chapters, the main points of which are as follows:

Chapter One- Introduction: Present the research motives, objectives, scopes, methods and measures.

Chapter Two- Literature Review: Review aboriginal literatures to find out prior research results and to define the research interest. In the last part, ethic consciousness and aboriginal writing strategy will be discussed, for both which are the theoretical basis and analysis method of this study.

Chapter Three- Introduction of Paiwan Authors’ Background and Articles: To begin, this study probes into Paiwan distribution and its socioculture, followed by the detailed discussion of Paiwan writers’ background and creation experiences

Chapter Four- Ethnic Consciousness in Paiwan Authors’ Writings: Looking into Paiwan writers’ articles through their subject matters, this study can find out how the writers arouse their ethnic identification by writing and create a highly bonded ethic consciousness. In the conclusion of each paragraph, comparison of the three’s subject matters will be done, so as to know the development course of the aboriginal literature from the change in subject matters

Chapter 5- Writing Strategy and Features in Paiwan Authors’ Articles: “Express Language,” “Writing Position and Route,” and “Writing Style” are exploited to discuss Paiwan authors’ writing strategies

Chapter Six- Conclusion: Research results, shortcomings and limitations will be integrated to make suggestion for future studies.
