2005年台灣原住民族運動會由高雄縣政府主辦，已於2005年3月25日至3月28日舉辦完畢。本研究之主要目的在探究2005年高雄縣原住民族運動會之內涵，進一步探究瞭解其舉辦過程，最後綜論2005年高雄縣原住民族運動會之具體改革。
本研究的方法採文獻分析法，輔以實地觀察記錄、訪問，並參照2005年台灣原住民族運動會之官方及相關網路資料，加以閱讀、整理、分析及歸納，得到以下結論：
一、2005年原住民族運動會展現出原住民族之「原味」精神，發揮原住民族體育運動之團結及永續傳承之意義，型塑出「十二族共一家」之理念。
二、2005年高雄縣原住民族運動會在典禮儀式、競賽項目及周邊活動等各方面符合賽會主題，從申辦、籌備、競賽期到結束順利地推展，有賴籌備組織各方面的相互配合，使得能夠交接給下一屆主辦單位「花蓮縣」。
三、2005年高雄縣原住民族運動會之具體改革方向有：
（一）未來原住民族運動會形式可以擴展為運動嘉年華會模式，展現原住民各族文化，以促進族群和諧。
（二）舉辦之項目與內容之設計，考量能展現文化的差異與共通性，以提升新聞價值，吸引傳媒、國人與國際觀光客的青睞。
（三）將承辦規定鬆綁，結合區域文化觀光資源與產業，以達成台灣原住民族運動會改革之目標，讓台灣原住民族運動會臻於完善。

Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Taiwan on 25th to 28th, March in 2005 was held by the government of Kaohsiung County. The aim of this research is to explore the connotation and process of development of Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Kaohsiung County. in Taiwan in 2005,and to raise specific suggestion to improve of indigenous people sports meeting in Kaohsiung County.
And the approaches were employed by interview and document study in this study, and the results were based on a collection of documents and official net of Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Kaohsiung County in Taiwan in 2005, which have been arranged, classified, criticized, and explained. The followings are the conclusions and suggestions of this study.
1.Indigenous People Sports Meeting in 2005 shows the meaning of the united from Indigenous People and all groups. The spirit of 「12 groups into one」is build.
2.The each organization of government was combined and excellent sports group was be set up in Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Kaohsiung County in 2005 to make the Meeting well from beginning to end. Then, Hualian County will hold the next one.
3.The improvement of Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Kaohsiung County in 2005 are:
(1)In the future, Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Taiwan will use the way of carnival of sports meeting of Taiwan indigenous people is adopt. Therefore, we could respect the culture of Indigenous People to promote the nation well.
(2)The item of the Meeting could show the difference and the common one to promote the newsworthy, and attract the media, and be people and international tourist''s favor.
(3)When the stipulation could be deregulated and the resources of sightseeing and the industry could be integrated as well, Unifies the region culture to go, the goal of the improvement of Indigenous People Sports Meeting in Taiwan would be come true, and it would be well.
