研究者於民國83年曾擔任花蓮縣阿美族教材編輯委員,該教材大多以家鄉、原住民神話傳說、風俗、文化為主,對於傳統舞蹈較少提及;其教學方式亦未編入。此外,目前國內針對原住民傳統舞蹈教育方面之研究論文並不多見,且國民小學原住民傳統舞蹈是納入體育課程裡實施,其中又依各個版本而有不同的課程設計。本研究目的以原住民阿美族傳統舞蹈於學校舞蹈教育實施為基礎,探討國小體育課、部落(Tafalong)及參加中華民族舞蹈比賽等不同教學情境之現象,並以實際教學體驗為輔,針對花蓮縣北埔國民小學原住民民俗舞蹈隊全體同學為研究個案,探究學生學習傳統舞蹈技能之內在知覺歷程。
本研究方法包括文獻分析法、個案研究法和觀察研究法,觀察學生為期18個月之傳統舞蹈教學學習紀錄及探討教學主題軸活動。研究結果呈現共分五個章節進行論述:分為緒論、文獻探討、阿美族舞蹈與學校舞蹈教育、阿美族太巴塱傳統舞蹈於國民小學舞蹈教育實施之成果、結果與建議。

ABSTRACT
In 1994, the researcher was the editorial member of Pagcah Tribe teaching material, Hualien County. Those teaching materials were mostly mainly hometown, aboriginal mythology and legend, custom and culture and there was not much mentioning on the traditional dance. In addition, its teaching method was not included. Furthermore, presently there are not much research essays on the aboriginal traditional dancing education. Also, in primary school, the aboriginal traditional dancing is actually included and carried out in the physical education course. Amongst these courses there are different course designs based on various editions. The purpose of this research is to base on the implementation of aboriginal Pagcah Tribe traditional dancing in the school dancing education as the foundation to study phenomenon of different teaching situations of primary school physical education class, Tafalong tribe and participation in Chinese folk dancing contest etc. In addition, it will be supplemented by practical teaching experience. Aiming at the entire students of the aboriginal folk dance team in Pei Pu Primary School, Hualien County as the research case, a study is carried out on the internal perception process during learning of the traditional dancing skill by the students.
Research methods include literature analytical method, individual case research method and observation research method. The eighteen months traditional dancing teaching learning record of students is being observed and the theme activity of teaching is explored. The revealed research results are described in five chapters that are: Preface, Literature Study, Pagcah Tribe Dancing and School Dancing Education, Result of Implementation of Pagcah Tribe Tafalong Traditional Dancing in Primary School Dancing Education, Results and Suggestions.
