美洲原住民土地保護管理局 (NALC) 保護瀕臨絕滅的美洲原住民的聖地與地區。該局是個部落族群間的組織，成立於1998年，為了追求願景與部落合作，一來加強美洲原住民部落彼此之間的聯繫，二來加強部落之間與他們的文化、傳統和遺產的連結。透過聖地的景觀就足以瞭解這個願景。該管理局不但收購被威脅到的文化景點，還為提倡美洲原住民的土地保存而舉辦會議，並且跟各部落、公共機構與保育團體之間做正式的合作協定。
The Native American Land Conservancy (NALC) protects endangered Native American sacred sites and areas. The NALC was established in 1998 as an intertribal organization to pursue a vision of working with tribes to strengthen both connections between Native American tribes and between tribes and their culture, traditions and heritage. This vision is understood through sacred landscapes. The NALC has acquired threatened cultural landscapes, organized conferences in order to promote Native American land preservation, and formal cooperative agreements with tribes, public agencies, and conservation groups. |
