原住民語言媒介的發展日益受到重視，不僅因相關研究欲探究原住民族群語言媒介是否對原住民語言的生存有所助益，以及現有媒介透過怎樣的方式在運作原住民語言媒介，另也因各國原住民語言媒介在維繫族群語言與文化的努力外，皆須與其所在的文化、社會脈絡構連，及在其所在的整體媒體環境中尋找經營及生存的路徑。本研究以原住民族電視台族語新聞為例，探究其如何由原住民語言媒介的角度發展及傳承語言與族群文化，及對不同族群的社會產生影響。

Indigenous language media drew attention in recent years. Related research is focused on the relationship between the indigenous languages and the development of the media. Indigenous language media sustains indigenous languages and culture and finds ways to reach indigenous people in the existing media environment. This research uses Taiwan Indigenous Television News as an example to explore the development and problems of the indigenous language media in Taiwan and provide suggestions for future development.
