本文係從泰雅族人的觀點（作者是泰雅族人）來蒐集分析宜蘭縣南澳鄉及大同鄉的傳統音樂。主要的研究方法是採取田野調查的方式，採集二個鄉的音樂，進而分析音樂的實質內涵。
經過實際採集後發現二鄉的傳統音樂流失的相當快，甚至有些部落早已失傳，最主要的原因在於語言的流失以及生活方式的改變。
二鄉所流傳的音樂不盡相同，南澳鄉僅流傳幾首古老的歌謠，而大同鄉特別是四季部落，竟留有二部乃至三部以上的複音音樂，這種複音音樂是在工作中（如擣米）輪流擣米而自然產生輪唱音樂。
音樂是泰雅文化的極緻表現，和生活密不可分，有了音樂可以豐富泰雅族人的生活。
本文結論在呼籲族人自己應該要有文化傳承的責任感，也期待有關當局及有心人士協助泰雅音樂的保存與推展。

This text is search and collect and analyze from I-lan county Nan-aou village and Ta-tong village about traditions music，and narrate by Atayal tribe people viewpoint（This writer also a Atayal people）. The main research method is take field investigate to gather the above village. Also analyze the essence and connotation from traditions music.
After individual practice collect. Discover above village traditions music is greatly to disappear. More than fail to be handed down from past generations in some village. The most factor is language flow away and the way of life is change. The two-village spread music is not identical. Nan-aou village only understand ancient ballad. But specially Su-gi tribal unit in Ta-ton village unexpectedly have two part and even three part fake sound. Result this music by use for work. Like husk rice with a pestle and mortar by turns
Music is Atayal culture height behavior. Inseparable the Atayal''''s life. Also the music abundant Atayal life.
This text conclusion is to appeal Atayal Tribe people should have mission for culture spread. And hope the authorities and thinking people provide help Atayal traditions music to preserve and push forward.
