研究名稱	「人」與「自然」的意象與視覺性---排灣族傳統圖式與創生神話美感詮釋Image and Visuality of Human and Nature---Aesthetic Analysis of Traditional Patterns and Creation Myth in the Paiwan Indigenous Texts

研究說明	在新世紀多元文化視野及潮流影響下，有關於族群藝術與文化教育方向，已經成為國內外藝術教育的重要趨勢。而對於極富特色的台灣原住民藝術教育方面，除了從視覺元素及藝術表徵的表層結構之外，其文化脈絡下的視覺傳統與價值體系應可從其深層結構進行多向性詮釋，以強化藝術文化教學本質之深度。本研究將排灣族傳統藝術圖像視為文本的研究主體，企圖從神話文本出發從而連結其視覺圖像文本，以探求排灣族傳統藝術的文化意涵。基於文本詮釋之立場，本研究針對排灣族口傳神話當中有關「人」與「自然」主題的意象塑造及視覺性，並連結其藝術圖像文本進行內容分析，主要目的在於探討原住民視覺傳統下關於「人」與「自然」的主題、概念、相互連結關聯性、生命意象特徵、隱喻及視覺美感。藉由文本內容分析法，本研究的論述架構是以排灣族的創生神話與視覺圖式為範疇，在神話文本方面，是以族人創生神話母題作為主軸，並擴及與「人」和「自然」相關的傳說故事之情節；在圖式文本方面，則是以人像圖式做為主軸，針對傳統和現代媒材的雕刻（塑）、繪畫或其它視覺形式所表達的傳統人形圖像，並擴及與人像主題相關的自然物件及背景。神話文本與圖像分析重點分為兩大部分，第一部份是涵蓋人體因素的呈現，包括性別、年紀、人體比例、心理與情緒、身分、地位等，以及人的主題之視覺再現因素，包括形式、媒介、構圖的問題；第二部份則是涵蓋與人相關的自然因素的呈現，包括自然界現象、光線、空間、生物與非生物等，以及自然主題的視覺再現因素，包括光的感覺與表現、景深處理、時間性、空間性、視覺位置等。根據文本分析的研究結果，同時也延伸到原住民藝術相關的教學主題、應用及實踐之議題討論。基於多元文化藝術教育的立場，本研究由視覺藝術角度切入，從排灣族視覺圖像跨及傳統神話文本的連結，進行「人」與「自然」的主題脈絡詮釋，希望能從不同視野與立場來理解排灣族原住民的文化價值體系，以延伸至原住民藝術教學的本質與價值之應用。 With no written language system, the Indigenous people have relied on oral languages as major way of cultural transmission and communication for a long time. Moreover, visual art representation has played important role in the indigenous daily life and rituality as well. Base on analysis on text of myth and visual art, the aim of this study is to reveal the images and visual representation of human and nature in the Paiwan Indigenous culture. With focus on subjects of “human” and “nature” transcribed in texts, the relationships between human beings and natural phenomenon, metaphors, characters, and reactions are categorized, analyzed, and interpreted. Based on methodology of content analysis, this research study is conducted to analyze the traditional myths subject on human life creation and nature, including stories and tales, and also visual patterns of human figures expressed on Paiwan ancestral sculptures, carving artifacts and other art forms. Analytic perspectives of visual theory and notions of literary transtexuality are applied to interpret Paiwan Indigenous myths, artifact and visual art objects. The analytic foci include two parts: First, the foci of human factors, such as body proportion, age, gender, position, status, formation, and representation; Second, the foci of nature factor, such as natural phenomenon, lights, space, creatures, and images. In doing so, this study has a three-fold research purpose: First, it is attempted to interpret Indigenous visual thinking and representation, based on contents of oral tradition and visual tradition. Second, it is designed to analyze the relationship between myths and visual art objects in Indigenous life. Third, it is aimed to discuss the authentic nature of Indigenous value in their world of humanity, ecology and cultural value. Implications to the field of art education, including teaching subject, content, and practices, are included for further discussion.
